This multi-adventure trip takes you over beautiful little roads through the heart of Cambodia’s rural scenery to the Great Lake, the Tonle Sap. Regarded to as the largest fresh water lake in Southeast Asia, the Great Lake offers amazing authentic adventures. Meet the people, do the activity and enjoy the scenery!
Enjoy a good breakfast at the resort as it will be an active day with lots of exercise! Leave Siem Reap by bicycle over secondary roads. Visit on the way local communities and taste delicious fruits and other home cooked delicacies at different homes. Follow small dirt roads that lead north of Siem Reap towards the Tonle Sap Lake. At the lake you are welcomed by local boatsmen who will take you into the heart of their villae. Observe birds and other wildlife and visit a local home where a lunch is set up at a local home. Drink a cup of tea or coffee with the host and learn more about the family and their way of life. Bid farewell to your hosts and continue around the village and mangroves. Return to the port where a tuktuk awaits for a ride back towards town. Take a different route and pass the West Baray. Visit some long forgotten temples on the way and eventually visit Wat Svay Romeat pagoda. Meet with the local monk who gives you an insight into Buddhism by explaining more about the function of the Pagoda within the community (through translation of your guide). Enjoy nice views over the Baray and a snack prepared locally by the people of the area. Drive further to town using a mix of small unpaved roads and primary roads and bid farewell to your guide once arrived at the hotel.
